About the artwork
FRONT:
Gaia by Freya Powell, captures the variety of tones that come in a single stem of the hydrangea flower, all crammed in together. Freya describes the hydrangea as the type of flower that you need to get up close to to realise how complex they are.
BACK:
Sanguine by Freya Powell, is of a pair of bearded iris that she saw at an iris farm in South Australia. Freya was particularly drawn to their subtle tones, and the classic statement structure of the flower.
